Goodbye Comfort Shed

Comfort Zone

The other day I was talking to one of my very dear friends. Who’s from a distant country and is going to be a world renowned programmer and a part time stage comedian someday. We were laughing at his joke when he said:
A little knowledge is dangerous. With the exclamation: And I don’t know who said that.

Friends are there to listen to what you have to say, friends are there to see what you are going through. Friends are there to comfort you if you’re in trouble. If the scene in front of your eyes gets blurred, friends are there to analyze the situation for you, to help you understand what are you actually going through and what should be your step ahead. But friends can do only this much. It is you who has to take the step, it is you who has to cover your assigned journey and it’s you who has to spend this life till the end. And this is your choice how much control of your life you keep in your own hands and how much of it you trade with someone else for some unwanted, unnecessary pain.

Well they say if you have to grow, you have to get out of your comfort zone. They say it is only then you understand life when you have the courage to take initiatives, when you decide the destination you want arrive to, when you set your own aims, when you start living the moment, when you get spontaneous and when you experiment with the unknown. It is only then you learn what is this all about, it is only then you start living and it is then you start your journey towards your success.

We come across charming persons sharing the stories of their wonderful success and it seems as if everything was put automatically in order for them to arrive there and ring the bell. Hollywood makes us believe that a person is going to rise to the occasion in his single shot, the moment one sets his mind towards his destined goal, everything in this universe gets in harmony with his intentions, people can sense his determination and start offering their assistance and within a time span of hour and a half his life gets fixed. Every other person leaving the cinema hall, is as enthusiastic, as determined and as hopeful as the characters of the movie. I wonder why depression is overspreading then.

As a matter of fact, life’s not a movie nor is it a fictional novel. Magic doesn’t exist and people don’t assist. World is cruel and life’s not fair. If you decide to get something, you have to set the parameters for achieving it. You have to fail in a lot of plans before you find the plan that works for you. You have to suffer the pain in your path but you have to keep moving. You have to get out of your comfort shell, bear the disappointments, tolerate all the pain, accept the unfair nature of life, deal with the selfishness ahead and have that charming smile on your face. After you do all that, you have to keep telling yourself that you might not succeed even after doing all that. You have to analyze the mistakes, find out what you have done incorrect, get back there, fix it and start it from the very beginning.

This is a hideous process but often the pill that would heal you, is very bitter in taste.
Somewhere I read the most beautiful curve on a woman’s body is her smile. I strongly disagree with that. The most beautiful curve on any person’s body is the smile. Why women only? And they say life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Couldn’t agree more. Let’s begin then and be the type of person you want to meet.

A Drifting Perspective

Perspective5

Every year, when there’s a new year’s eve, we gather to celebrate the ending of a year and welcome the coming year. New aspirations are presented, newer prospects are made and there starts the race to accomplish everything.

While watching television, I always question myself is this the correct way to embrace a new year? What change is the coming day going to bring to life on earth? I get the answers that no, this doesn’t seem to be the way to embrace the coming year and nothing is going to change tomorrow, except for calendars, official stuff, marketing targets, execution of plans etc., nothing worth mentioning.

In pursuit of the correct answers, I get the answer that I’ll have the eve of a new year the day I change my perception of the things. The day I choose to be at peace with the things around embracing them just as they are. The day when I live that single day, one moment at a time. The day when I manage to skip the bigger picture and just be there in the spur of the moment. The day I don’t get retreated from the past, I don’t get fascinated by the future. That eve will be my new year’s eve and the day would bring new chapter of my life.
As always things have been the same, except for the fact that I’ll celebrate my New Year’s Eve when the rest of the world is celebrating the New Year’s Eve for 2015.

Change the way you look at things and the things you look at, change.

When I Fell in Love with Her !!

Love

It was back then,

When days were brighter

When nights were lighter,

When time was wonderful

When hugs were tighter.

It was back then

When moments took me high

When the distances were to overfly,

When her sound echoed in my heart

When my shadow was in her eye.

It was back then

When, with her, my life begun

When only we were there and there was none

When I fell in love with her

When I said ‘Together we are one’.

War Pollution

Air pollution is the concentration of very small size particulate matter in air which is responsible for various respiratory diseases, some of them prove deadly to several persons of the society. Generally the air pollution level is high in urban cities. Recently WHO published a report on air pollution and it wasn’t very surprising to know that Pakistan is leading the world in this area followed by various Asian countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Egypt and others.

The primary responsible stakeholders or air pollution include industrial revolution, increased birth rate and lack of awareness regarding the air pollution in under-developed countries. There is one other stakeholder that needs to be mentioned separately and that is the behavior of people. This behavior includes the behavior of people living inside these countries and additionally the behavior of nations intruding these areas.

As far as Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran is concerned, the last factor plays a vital role. Afghanistan has been the land of unexpected, thrilling, unexpected and unpleasant adventurous incidences since the pre-historic era. At times Russians intrude the land, then talibans come forward to take hold and then USA strikes are observed later and in recent years. Whenever I hear the news of a bomb explosion, I wonder how much environmental damage would it have caused. The air strikes, use of armor, collapsed civil structures, drones, transportation carbon emissions and the list goes on.

Islamic Democratic Pakistan has always been enjoying the benefits of it geographical location. But when you accept something, you have to accept the entire package. The environmental issues are getting worse day by day in the country regarding every sort of environment including political environment, educational environment, social environment, economic environment, industrial environment and now hats off to the country, it has become a legendary leader in atmospheric environmental pollution as well. And the people of Pakistan whether be the industrialist, politician, military representative, researcher, bureaucrat, or a mere bloody civilian all have contributed great efforts to take the country to the verge of disaster in every aspect of life.

The same circumstances and the same behavioral attitudes prove true for other under developed Asian countries. When I write, it sometimes seems to me that I am an anti-states or anti-europe person because I take time to observe the outcomes of foreign intrusions with less a distance but the fact of the matter is it is not the outsider that causes the damage, it’s always the insider. Because devil always lies inside the chest.

Moonwalking with Einstein

Hearing the word ‘moonwalk’ triggers the memory of Michael Jackson performing the illusion of going backwards while actually moving forward. However Moonwalking with Einstein triggers a question like what the hell are we exactly talking about?

This triggering game is a very classic of mind’s games. While discussing something with a group of people around, I actually tell my brain to trigger the correct names, dates, locations and sequences. At times, it presents the contents right in time while at others, well hats off to smartphones, laptops and availability of internet.

But taking assistance for something you should have at your fingertips feels like using a cheat code while playing some game. You read some book and by the time you finish all the detailed chapters, it happens sometimes, all you are left with is just an overview synopsis of the entire story. When it happens to me, I ask myself just to read the overview from now on. What’s the point of reading the entire detailed book when in the end all I will be left with is just the overview of the entire story?

Luckily I didn’t quit reading when one day I read a title Moonwalking with Einstein. The ‘overview’ said that it’s about an ordinary journalist who happened to cover the mnemonic competition held at Oxford University got inspired by some geeks expert in remembering and recalling anything and everything in no time and he ended up winning the championship.

The idea of remembering and recalling anything and everything glared my brain and I started reading the book. Though the book was more like the autobiography of the author but in the end it came clear to me that if I have to be good to at making my mind obeying the orders of triggering memories, I must really practice the following advice.

None of the techniques of memory sharpening will work unless you start ‘Paying Attention’ to what you are going through. 😀

Nobel Prize— for Destruction

Posted on

Nobel Prize is considered to be the most prestigious prize in respected fields and the ultimate dream of every person working in the relevant field. The fields into which Nobel Prize is awarded include Chemistry, Physics, Medicine, Peace, Literature and Economics. The story of any Nobel Prize Award starts with the devotion of a person conducting research in any of the respected fields and willingly trades his time, efforts, abilities, attributes and life for a glory that he might not even live to see, enjoy and receive. But the gamble’s a successful one, it’s worth it and has been played by many names written in golden in the book of history. The story started with Alfred Nobel, who donated his entire wealth to award prizes to the ones who become the greatest relief to mankind through their work in their field. After the name of Nobel Alfred, the prize was named Nobel Prize.

The approach behind the creation of Nobel Prize was also very noble. The prize admires the efforts of the persons that become the greatest relief to humanity and mankind through their work. It’s worth mentioning that one Pakistani scientist, Dr. Abdul Islam also received a Nobel Prize for his work in Physics. Though the international scientific and intellectual community recognized his services for science and mankind, the person unfortunately could not receive that level of affection from his homeland because of being a part of a condemned religious sect.

The process of evolution has been playing its role in each and every aspect of our lives, ranging from sciences to religion, from peace to war, from emotions of love to feelings of hatred and from ways of living life to ceremonies of death. Mankind has always been resisting to accept a change without its strong efforts of rejecting it and Nobel Prize is no exception. With the passage of time, the cause of creation of Nobel Prize, ‘services to mankind’ evolved in its interpretation by common public and different nations. Different societies claimed their own sense of this cause, like different version of the same religion a conflicted erupted.

The United States of America came forward to serve humanity by gaining dominion to the so called third world, ‘rich in oil’ countries at first and then simultaneously increased attempts against Chinese invasion onto the horizons of the international economics. The manipulation of internal affairs and politics of third world countries is also loaded with the holy spirit of services to humanity and mankind. Israel felt very deprived and restless and then came forward to save this earth from Palestinians. They say that history keeps on repeating itself and probably this is why mankind keeps on resisting the changes of evolution. I wonder why the caretakers of the Nobel Prize awarding committees have been neglecting the efforts of the two renowned states and why didn’t they introduce a new category to the Nobel Prizes, the Nobel Prize in the field of Destruction.

I am pretty much sure that a lot of stakeholders of this newly proposed category are very anxiously waiting of being awarded a Nobel Prize worldwide and that this category would win prizes more than any other and I wonder this is why the caretakers are being reluctant to launch this new category, so to save the prize money.

This reminds me of the words of Pop Francis:

Even today, we raise our hand against our brother.. We have perfected our weapons, our conscious has fallen asleep, and we have sharpened our ideas to justify ourselves as if it were normal. We continue to sow destruction, pain and death.

General Rules of Loyal Morality

Islamic Democratic Pakistan is a developing, progressing and emerging country, atleast this is what the statistics say and atleast this is what I have observed all through my life. Still there are a lot of set-backs and a lot of things need to be improved. One of the major set-backs in the country is the power crisis and as a result, we have electrical power load shedding at regular intervals. This is not pleasant undoubtedly but on the brighter aspect, people claim to have discovered their families during these hours of power load shedding more like the concept of ‘family therapy’ in well developed countries, we get this treatment of family therapy forcefully and for free.

During such a session, sitting with my family discussing random topics, there was a discussion on the people who have served Pakistan with their lives, with their properties, with their services, with their intellect and with their love. For instance, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, donated his entire property to the educational institutes but his granddaughter is living an unknown life of misery in the same country that he founded. Soldiers who get martyred and give away their lives for the country enter their names in the list of ‘golden people’ but the families remain in suffering behind them.

While discussion, I said something unintentionally that has kept my attention since that moment. I said that in order to live a prosperous life, one should not be so selfless. I have been wondering about the authority of this statement since that time. We have been taught about not being too selfish, we have been taught to have soft corners for others but a session just ended at a conclusion that we should not be selfless.

Theoretically this is not true but practically I suffered it when I became too selfless to fall in love with her and she couldn’t become too selfless to love me back and I suffered that. I became selfless when I assigned that much of my love, respect, devotion, affection, honesty and sincerity to her and she didn’t even acknowledge that and i suffered that. I became selfless when I waited for hours and days for her just to show up and she didn’t even care to let me clarify my stance and i suffered that as well. I became selfless and as the historical evidences dictate, the ones who become selfless are the ones who suffer in the end and so did I.

Yes, I posed a correct statement. One should not spend a selfless life. One should be very selfish and possessive about one’s life and one’s priorities because at the end of the day all that matters is the quality of this once awarded life that you spend. I never had a doubt about what I said about being selfless, rather what struck me most is the doubtful authority of the moral principles that teach us to have a soft corners for others, that teach us to live for others, that teach us to respect others and that teach us to return good when someone does good to you. I am afraid of the moral customs carved inside my character because I am afraid that this currency is no more the current currency of the world we live in today.
